It was a long day of driving, and not much touring today. We stopped at Rumi's museum/grave in Konya (a muslim with a buddhist like view, with a bunch of followers).
Then after some more driving, we stopped at a caravanaserai. This is a giant motel built by the Seljuks in the 12th - 14th century, placed at every 30 km along the Silk Road. These buildings provided a place to stay for the caravans, as well as protection and insurance for their goods. The first 3 days were free. By offering these services to the traders, the Seljuk Empire (and the Ottoman Empire to follow) were able to enable and control the Silk Road and become filthy rich.

We finally reached our hotel in Cappadocia. We will wake up at 3:30 am to reach the hot air balloons for the sunrise.
